The non stop Lapsus Music label is back with another red hot EP, this time from Elrow resident and Elrow Music boss De La Swing. The Spanish artist has really shot to the top of the pile in recent times with great releases on labels like Kaluki and Material.
Wake Up goes first and is a heavyweight tune with rumbling drums and skipping percussive patterns to get you going. Robust synth lines bring more meat to the groove and the whole thing is perfectly playful. Punta Allen is rooted in heavy kick drums and has a freaky and cosmic mix of synths popping out of the groove. It is heads down and warm, physical and sure to get the floor rocking. Last of all comes El Dorado, a fluid and funky tech cut with spaced out sounds laid over rolling rubber drums with plenty of pop and skip. It is a great tune to end a great EP.
